New License Plates for 2022!
Jan 1st, 2022
The new plate will be available online and in-person beginning January 3, 2022 when vehicle registrations are renewed.
Who will get a plate? Anyone with a green mountain license plate or green mountain personalized plate and any new registrant.
When? Renew your vehicle registration in the month of renewal, just like always. Customers may renew up to 90 days early. However, customers with green mountain license plates and green mountain personalized plates expiring in 2022 will not be able to renew until after 1/2/2022. New plates will be issued beginning in January 2022.
How? This will be a regular renewal process, but you will receive a new license plate design. If you opt to have your plate mailed to you, there is a $5 fee. There is no additional fee if picked up in person at the County Clerk’s Office.
