Registration Renewal Kiosk

Kiosk Signage

You may renew your Davidson County tag and get your decal using one of our registration renewal kiosks.  Kiosks are located throughout the county, inside several County Clerk’s offices and in 4 designated libraries.

To begin the renewal process, a customer may scan a renewal notice received in the mail, old registration form containing a barcode or a printed email renewal notice.  Credit or debit cards are the only form of payment accepted at the kiosk.  Once the transaction is completed the kiosk prints a Motor Vehicle Registration and decal.

In order to use the kiosk, customers must be Davidson County residents and the vehicle must have been registered in Davidson County for at least one year.  Renewal must be within 90 days of expiration date.  The kiosk does not allow a change of address.

The kiosk was designed with data security in mind and protects customers’ private information.  At no time during the transaction is any of the customer’s personal information displayed.

Customers with green mountain license plates or green mountain personalized plates are required to obtain the new blue tri-star license plate in 2022.  Customers with these plates may still renew at the kiosk, however, rather than printing the decal at the kiosk, the new plate and decal will be mailed to the address on file.  There is a postage & handling fee of $5.00.
